The conductivity sensor measures the conductivity of seawater using the induction principle, which results in stable measurement data because no electrodes are involved that can become overgrown by organisms and wear out relatively quickly.
The robust conductivity sensor requires little maintenance and the internal pressure inside the sensor never exceeds 1 bar, so the electronics are not affected by water depth. These smart sensors can also be easily integrated and installed on an anchored cable system or a SeaGuard or SmartGuard data logger system.
