The Aanderaa turbidity sensor emits IR light and measures the light scattered by particles suspended in sea- or freshwater. The analogue sensor outputs a voltage signal proportional to the concentration of suspended matter in the water column.

This sensor can be deployed for applications related to, for example, water quality, wastewater treatment, sediment transport, ocean profiling, dredging and pollution monitoring.
