The ASD25-N sensor is a turbidity probe to be inserted directly on the pipe or in a bypass loop. It has a compact and robust design offering excellent cleanability.
Installed, it allows online measurements adapted to the need declined with different optical path and measurement wavelength. Available with many accessories, offering maximum flexibility without affecting the quality of measurements.
They are also particularly suitable for measurements in fermenters or industrial bioreactors. These sensors accurately measure microbial growth or cell growth by measuring the turbidity of the medium. A beam of LED light passes through the medium and measures the attenuation of its intensity, caused by the growth of microorganisms. ASD sensors measure from 840 nm to 910 nm (NIR), eliminating the colour measurement of the medium.
The one-piece construction of the probe guarantees long-lasting integrity and the highest level of sterility. All the parts in contact are made of electropolished steel. The ASD25-N is sterilizable in place and easily mounts on a pipe.
Typical applications: Measurements of the growth of microorganisms, eukaryotic cells, fermentation, determination of biomass, concentration of algae. Turbidity measurement, online separator quality control, Phase separation, Product identification, biomass measurement, product sorting.
