The SonTek SL series are real-time acoustic Doppler current profilers integrated with temperature, pressure and acoustic water level sensors.
As the name suggests, these Side-Looking instruments are designed for flow measurements across the width of different types of watercourses. The ultra narrow beam widths combined with unmatched side lobe suppression allow flow data free of interference from surface or bottom boundaries.
As the SL series are developed specifically for side mounting on bridges, canal walls or riverbanks, flow and discharge surveys can be carried out in streams, rivers, channels, estuaries or harbors.
With three models to choose from, the SL instruments can be deployed in channels as small as you can jump across to 120 m wide rivers.
