The YSI i3XO EcoMapper is a unique AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) designed to create high-resolution maps of both water quality and bathymetry. The submarine-like vehicle follows a programmed course and employs sensors mounted in its nose to avoid collision with obstacles.
The i3XO EcoMapper is a one-man deployable AUV that comes with a location identifier communicating its GPS position to the user at all times.
