Corning CoolBox modules
The CoolBox is a versatile, ice-free cooling system designed for the lab bench. Thanks to its modular design, you can combine a CoolBox with a matching CoolRack module for your samples. With a cooling block, the temperature remains stable for up to 10 hours (open lid) or up to 16 hours (closed lid). Thanks to the closed system, the risk of contact with contaminants is reduced, making it ideal for use in a biosafety cabinet.
Corning CoolRack modules
CoolRack modules are thermally conductive inserts that, when placed on a temperature source, rapidly adopt the temperature of that source. They guarantee a temperature uniformity of ±0.1 °C across all tubes and plates during cooling, snap-freezing, heating or thawing. Modules are available for microcentrifuge tubes, PCR tubes and microplates, centrifuge tubes, multiwell plates, and cryogenic vials.
Corning CoolCell modules
The CoolCell is an alcohol-free alternative to classic isopropanol containers for cryopreservation. Without a pre-cooling step or maintenance, it provides a uniform freezing rate that preserves the integrity and viability of cells. The module is not cold to the touch after use at -80 °C and is quickly reusable.
