Portable measuring devices as support for inline analysers
Get all the info from your inline sensor without disconnecting.
Inline and online analysers clearly have numerous advantages. They are adapted to the process conditions, always give an up-to-date result and are (digitally) linked to a process control system for further data processing. Regular checks make them even more reliable.
To be on the safe side
When checking inline measurements, you rightly think of portable devices. They are convenient to carry and easy to use. This makes it easy to quickly measure a sample on the spot. In addition to these classic comparative measurements, much more is possible.
A brief overview:
Uniform sensors
Today, inline measurements and analysers are digital. It is only logical to digitise your portable control device. This allows you to use the same sensors as the digital sensor of the online measurement and exclude errors.
Process calibration
Many inline analysers have the ability to perform a product calibration. You then ensure that your inline measurement value matches the control measurement. Of course, this must be reliable and preferably of the same type as the inline sensor.
Sensor evaluation
You can easily connect digital inline sensors to your portable device. You can then view all data, history, recent calibration data and the current status of your inline sensor. Using the special Memoview, this can even be done without disconnecting the sensor! Once back in the workshop, you can transfer all information stored to a computer system. Ideal for documentation of maintenance and as a quality assurance of the measurement.
Temporary monitoring
Do you want to monitor or compare a measurement for several hours or days? Your portable measuring device is your friend. Using a built-in data logging system, you can effortlessly record up to 10,000 measured values, the interval of which you determine yourself. Of course you can export the results to your computer, but you also get a graphical representation directly on your screen.
Check your most important online measurements
Portable measuring devices are not available for all analysers. But rather for the measurements of which you may have several.
- pH measurements, and also ORP or redox measurements, are still the measurements that require the most maintenance.
- Oxygen measurements in gas or liquid phase, often important for explosion protection or product quality.
- Conductivity measurement, not only resistive sensors, but now also for inductive sensors.
- Brix measurement or any other concentration measurements of dissolved substances.
- TOC analysers for pharmaceutical water and power plants.
