Spectrometric nitrate sensor

S::CAN’s nitro::lyser is a spectrometer that measures turbidity and nitrate in both drinking water and wastewater. The temperature is also measured internally and can be displayed as a separate parameter. 

The sensor uses spectrophotometry, which measures an optical spectrum between a wavelength of 190 and 750 nm directly in the medium. The remaining light intensity of the light beam sent through the medium is measured and compared with a reference measurement. Absorption of parameters at specific wavelengths correlate to a specific concentration of nitrate and turbidity in this case. This sensor is available in 3 versions: a path length of 1mm, 5mm or 35mm. The smaller the path length, the higher the maximum concentration. This sensor can be placed both on and in line. This by means of an in-situ holder or in a flow cell. 

Apart from the fact that the sensor can be easily connected to a terminal according to the "plug & measure" principle, it can also measure autonomously and transmit its data via the IoT web server and WLAN connection. They have already been calibrated after production and this calibration data is stored in the probe's internal memory and is thus automatically recognised. They can be cleaned automatically with a brush or with compressed air and are therefore stable and maintenance-free for a long time.
