The rQPOD transforms the standard Torrent Board V7 into a cost-effective drone. The Torrent Board with rQPOD is compatible with the RiverSurveyor ADCP (RS5 and M9) measurement heads, as well as the YSI EXO multiparameter water quality probe.
The boat can be used on various waterways, inland waters, or ports. Plan missions via Google Maps to autonomously survey entire watercourses or safely access difficult-to-reach measurement locations using the remote control.
With a sailing speed of up to 1.5 m/s, difficult-to-reach measurement locations become safely accessible.
Conduct quick, efficient, and comprehensive surveys:
- True flow rate: calibration of flow measurements, determination of station pumping capacity, and verification of results after dredging (flow).
- Flow profiling: insight into watercourses, fine-tuning flow rate measurement calibration.
- Transect measurement: adjustment of flow measurements and verification of results after dredging.
- Hydrographic analyses: bathymetry and total volume determination (hydrosurveyor firmware on M9).
- Water quality screening: determine discharge origins with up to 8 sensors simultaneously and monitor water quality before and after dredging activities.
