The AF16-F model is a high precision colour sensor. It measures the attenuation of light through the process fluid. The AF16-F sensor is specially designed for inline installation and is non-invasive.
Its modular structure offers maximum flexibility for direct connection to the production line, without influencing the measurement accuracy. The fluid is crossed by a focused and constant light beam. This measurement of the intensity of the light transmitted in relation to the light emitted allows the monitoring of variations in colour or product concentration inline and during production.
By adjusting the optical path, it can detect concentrations in the order of ppm but also in %. The Model AF16-F sensor emits light from 385 to 1100 nm and an optical filter on the detector side selects the wavelength of the medium to be measured.
Typical applications: phase separation, OD measurements for the growth of microorganisms, discoloration monitoring, mixing control, product colour management (APHA / HAZEN, ASTM, Saybolt, etc.). Also available in ATEX version.
