Valmet LS is the first and only online analyzer that can reliably measure inline low concentration of solids in centrifugal water. By connecting the LS to the dewatering process, it becomes possible to continually sample and monitor the centrate water in real-time.
Valmet Low Solids Measurement hereby contributes to achieving large cost savings on wastewater treatment plants, by optimizing polymer dosing and minimizing the solids content in centrate water.
The device continuously measures both the entrained air index, which indicates an overdose of polymer and the suspended solids content in the range of 0 to 5,000 mg / l. The Valmet LS measuring system de-aerates, filters and measures the solids of the process and has self-cleaning properties to keep the measuring optics clean.
The system has two light sources, LED and laser. When the sample passes the measuring cell, the absorption, scattering and depolarization signals of both light sources are measured. The measuring cell has an extremely strong sapphire glass with high optical properties.
