There are plenty of turbidity measurements. The InPro 8000 series is the odd one out. Where classic turbidity meters measure light transmission or absorption over a fixed path length, InPro 8000 uses the principle of backscattering.

Light is sent into the liquid and the particles scatter the light in all directions. The light that is scattered back at 180° is detected. This technique is used particularly in cases of fairly high to very high turbidity.

Owing to the construction of the sensor, it can be installed in any pipe or reactor in different ways. Just like a pH or conductivity sensor.
