In addition to the significant, insidious danger that H2S, in gaseous form, is for humans, there are also devastating consequences for the infrastructure, such as corrosion of metal and concrete. Odour nuisance is, of course, another consequence not to be forgotten. Sewers and production processes are increasingly monitored for H2S concentrations. This can often be dealt with by dosing chemicals to prevent the formation of H2S.
The LOGAZ from IJINUS is the solution in the form of an autonomous, compact and smart device. By connecting an electrochemical H2S gas detection module to the LOGV3, a battery-operated measurement solution is created, including data logging and 3G or Sigfox communication. This module connects seamlessly to the cylinder and is replaceable for calibration. This gives you the benefits of a robust and proven sensor platform combined with a very specific measurement that detects H2S gas at the ppm level.
Apart from autonomous use, there were also more requests from industry to be able to link such modules to their SCADA systems. For this reason, the LOGAZPRO, which has a 4-20 mA and Modbus RS485 output, was launched. The sensor is also powered via the connector in continuous operation and switches to the internal battery once the autonomous mode is switched on. This is for safety reasons, so that measurements are always taken even when the power fails.
