The S::CAN pipe::scan is a sensor system for monitoring drinking water quality in pressurised pipelines.
Up to 10 different parameters can be measured in one set-up. These parameters are: TOC, DOC, UV254, turbidity, colour, (free or total) chlorine, pH/redox, conductivity, temperature and pressure.
The pipe::scan is placed in the pipe by means of a saddle that is available for various diameters from DN80 to DN600. A 'base unit' contains a flow cell with the option of a cleaning brush, pressure sensor and flow sensor. Up to 4 sensors are connected to this flow cell: one i::scan, one chlori::lyser and two other sensors, e.g. a condu::lyser, pH::lyser or redo::lyser. For extra security, this set of sensors is enclosed.
Water quality data can be sent to almost any central database via almost any protocol. Several pipe::scans in the field are the perfect way to monitor the drinking water network.
- Accurate measurements in perfect accordance with standardised laboratory reference (not just trending).
- Both turbidity and organic load monitoring.
- Also pH, (total/free) chlorine, redox or conductivity.
- Totally flow-independent (even under stagnant conditions).
- Hot maintenance: possible without interruption of the water flow, individually for each sensor.
- Full-scale event detection with real-time alerts in the drinking water network.
- ACS Drinking Water certified.
