The DCPS (Acoustic Doppler Flow Profiler Sensor) measures vertical 3D flow profiles. The sensor can focus on the entire water column or on bottom or surface currents. Thanks to its advanced acoustic profiling technology, it can take accurate and reliable measurements even on moving and tilting platforms and anchoring.
A DCPS can be installed on a SeaGuard II data logger, which in turn can be mounted on a buoy, anchored to a cable line or installed at the very bottom of the seabed. There are three versions of sensors that can handle different depths: an operating depth of up to 300, 3000 or even 6000 metres.
