The Aanderaa Seaguard system is a multiple parameter platform developed for both flow rate sensors and water quality sensors. The plug & play structure allows you to adjust the system to your specific needs for underwater observations from surface water to deep sea locations (up to 6 km depth!).
In terms of flow rate sensors, there are two different SeaGuard platforms:
- The SeaGuard I: on which (single point) flow sensors can be installed that measure the flow rate at a defined depth.
- The SeaGuard II: on which Acoustic Doppler Current Profile Gauges (ADCPs) can be installed. These sensors measure the flow velocity through a specific profile.
Wave meters, oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, pressure and tidal sensors and more can also be connected to both data logging SeaGuard platforms. Since it is a modular platform, further extensions can be connected to the Seaguard logger. For example, by attaching sensors to a mooring line in order to have measurement data on the entire depth profile. The connection to other multiple parameter probes can also be made for, for example, data w.r.t. algae or pH.
Elscolab is happy to help you with the complete framework of your monitoring project such as the implementation of the Seaguard platform in a buoy, installation on the seabed, communication or power supply.
