Chromatography is a separation technique in which the mixture to be separated is passed over a column together with a mobile phase. The properties and composition of the mobile phase are crucial for proper separation. Control and permanent monitoring are not a superfluous luxury. Both at the entrance and the exit of the skid.
pH measurement
An optimal separation can only be obtained with an optimal pH value. The pH optimum is usually in a narrow bandwidth.
Accuracy, reliability and reproducibility. This is one of the biggest advantages of intelligent pH electrodes. Accurate and permanent monitoring of the status of the electrode means that you can be sure of the measurement at any time.
Conductivity measurement
Ionic strength, like the pH, is a determining factor for the quality and resolution of the chromatographic separation. Ionic strength can be measured using a conductivity meter. There is a choice between sensors with 2 or 4 electrodes, or you can opt for the inductive measuring principle. For higher accuracy, digital sensors are the best choice.
UV absorption
The composition of mixture and mobile phase can be measured by UV absorption with an inline photometer. Various sanitary process connections are available. This ensures ideal integration.
Refractometry
We measure the total concentration of dissolved substances using inline refractometry. An extremely stable and maintenance-free measurement technique. Validation, using digital support and registration, is possible with certified standards.
