Drinking water network
Water is a basic right. Drinking water supply is therefore an integral part of our modern living environment. There are already a lot of sensors and inline measurements to continuously monitor these kilometres of pipes for leakages, blockages, quality loss, incidents, etc.
Preventing risks is key to these ‘smart’ water solutions. Whether it’s the risk of accidental spills or the threat of deliberate spills, major cities rely on real-time drinking water monitoring systems for water protection and safety.
Possible measurements
The measurements that we’re able to carry out on these pipes include:
- UV-VIS spectrometry for organic parameters.
- Disinfection parameters: free chlorine, total chlorine, peroxide, ozone, etc.
- Physicochemical parameters: pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, etc.
- Flow measurement in a closed pipe.
They can be performed on open measurement points, closed tubes, tubes under pressure or in by-pass configuration, depending on the specific measurement. We’re happy to help you find the possibilities for your application.
In combination with the measurements, a complete event detection can be performed using event detection software and software that analyses, validates and interprets the measured values. This software package can be customised to your needs.
