A microbiological safety cabinet ensures a safe and sterile environment for cytostatic drug preparation.
This movie shows us the different stages of cytostatic drug preparation and handling with the following items:
- Place all components in the sterile environment (Please take into consideration to switch on the Microbiological Safety Cabinet (MSC) at least 15 minutes before manipulation!)
- Dissolving the cytostatic drugs in the intravenous solution.
- Securely inject the cytostatic drug mix into the intravenous bag.
- Gently homogenize the cytostatic drug bag. Ready to treat the patient.
This all must be executed in extreme safe and sterile conditions, more specifically in our MSC, the ‘CytoFAST Elite’ of FASTER for the protection of the operator, the environment and the product.
Our cabinet is GMP-certified because the down flow velocity of this cabinet is 0,4 - 0,45 m/second. Above all, the saturation level of the present 3 HEPA filters is monitored so the operator has the ability to anticipate on future issues concerning the present 3 HEPA filters.
