S::CAN’s Industrial spectro::lyser is a spectrometric probe for optical measurements of absorbances over the UV-VIS spectrum, similar to the spectro::lyser.
It can be placed in an ATEX zone 1 & 2 explosive atmosphere. It is therefore used for measurements in industrial wastewater and in sewers. This sensor can be placed both online and inline. This by means of an in-situ holder or in a flow cell.
Based on the unique algorithms of S::CAN, an equivalent of the most important (bio)chemical parameters is calculated, such as BOD, COD, TOC, UV254, colour, nitrate, turbidity, etc. This can be done by using the full spectrum, which is recorded on the basis of 256 measuring points. Different path lengths (0.5mm-1mm-2mm-5mm-15mm-35mm) allow different concentration ranges to be measured.
Apart from the fact that the sensor can be easily connected to a terminal according to the "plug & measure" principle, it can also measure autonomously and transmit its data via an IoT web server and WLAN connection. They have already been calibrated after production and this calibration data is stored in the probe's internal memory and is thus automatically recognised. They can be cleaned automatically with a brush or with compressed air and are therefore stable and maintenance-free for a long time.
