Biogas is fuel obtained by fermenting biomass. It produces methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The gas is purified so that mainly CH4 remains. Biomass usually also contains a lot of water or moisture (H2O). This also remains present in the gas phase.
For good quality biogas to become usable as fuel, continuous measurement of the gas is necessary.
The VAISALA MPG261 and MPG262 are the only inline analysers that measure CH4, CO2 and humidity simultaneously. And this without sample preparation. The probe is mounted directly on the pipe or tank.
