Model AF46 is a high precision dual wavelength UV absorption sensor with two reference channels. It measures the attenuation of light through the process fluid. The AF46 sensor is specially designed for inline installation and is non-invasive.
Its modular structure offers maximum flexibility for direct connection to the production line, without influencing the measurement accuracy. The fluid is crossed by a focused and constant light beam. This measurement of the intensity of the light transmitted in relation to the light emitted allows the monitoring of variations in product concentration in line and during production.
By adjusting the optical path, we can detect concentrations in the order of ppm but also in%. The AF46 model sensor uses ultraviolet light, the measurement wavelengths are determined by the installation of 2 permanent optical filters. The available wavelengths are 254, 280, 290, 300, 313 nm (other wavelengths are in preparation). The reference signal on the lamp side allows very stable measurements and no maintenance.
Typical applications: concentration measurements, protein concentration measurements, monitoring of pollutants in water, HPLC, detection of petroleum products in water; monitoring of ultrafiltration (retentate and permeate), ultracentrifuge, etc.
